Upcoming Show!

The home-buying process, while exciting, has been absorbing nearly all of my blogging time lately. However, I am pleased to announce that I will be participating in a new show in the near future! I encourage you to come not only to see some of my photos (which I am excited to share) but also to see and shop for handmade cards, jewelry, and books!

1st Communion

The past month has brought an interesting mix of photography jobs, and I've learned something from all of them! Today I was brought in last-minute to take photos of 5 children at my church making their 1st Communion. This was the first time I've had such a "public" job, and boy was I nervous in front of all those people (not that any of them were paying attention to me). All went smoothly, however. The kids all looked great dressed in their suits and white dresses, and the light coming in from the church windows was bright and welcoming. Here's a glimpse, enjoy!

Leaves!!

I am thrilled with the warm weather we're finally having here in the Northeast. The leaves are actually starting to come in on the trees, giving me a chance to experiment some more with my infrared filter. I only had an hour or so to roam about with my camera today, but I got at least one IR shot that I liked!
