How Does Your Garden Grow

My primroses are blooming, delicate and pink, reminding me of lemonade and summer breezes.

Memorial Day Weekend

I hope you all had a great weekend! Here in the US we had a lovely three-day weekend to enjoy. My husband and I headed down to North Carolina for a wedding, and had a marvelous time, despite the heat! Family, swimming pools, gardens, and food = good stuff.

Reaping the Rewards

The sweet rewards of hard work in the garden. The strawberry season has officially begun. With such photogenic fruit, I think I can justify weeding as "working".

Why I Love My Job

One of the joys of a hot day in May, before Memorial Day weekend - beach parking is still free!

Through the Eyes of a Child

My sister & young nephew came with me on today's photo excursion. My nephew was absolutely enthralled by watching the Instax film develop. The whole way home he pretended his own Fisher-Price camera was "a developer one", excitedly telling me, "Look Auntie Di! It's starting to develop!"

Swooning...

My ranunculus from The Greenery have opened up and are just breathtaking. I'm having so much fun photographing them and trying to do them justice...

Warm, Sunny, Bliss.

We had a gorgeous weekend here, weather-wise. Sunny and hovering around 60 degrees F - our first taste of Spring. My husband, my sister, and I went on a walk at the lovely F. Gilbert Hills State Forest. I got to break in my new hiking boots and play with my Instax.

An Apple a Day

Today we biked to a local orchard to pick apples, and I brought along the Instax. (Click to see a larger version of the diptych below.)

Hump Day Happiness

Happy Wednesday all! I must admit, I feel a little fickle posting my happinesses today - right after bidding adieu to Polaroid... But, it can't be helped.

Today, I am thrilled about:

1) My new Fuji Instax camera, which arrived in the mail today
2) The Fuji Instax film, which arrived with it
3) The sun holding out just long enough for me to run out and play with my new toy
4) The light in the maple leaves as they turn from green to red
5) My scanner, which allows me to share images from today so instantly with you

What are you grateful for today?
